The CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets analyst downgraded Petronet LNG from buy to underperform in October, dubbing the stock fully valued at 121.50 rupees. In March, after shares of the New Delhi–based liquefied-natural-gas importer had dipped 4.3 percent, to Rs116.30 — but nonetheless led the sector by 6 percentage points — Sinha upgraded them to outperform, citing a surge in demand for LNG. By the end of May, the stock had gained 17 percent, climbing to Rs136.10, and bested the sector by 16.8 points.
